Rich Rodriguez
Director/Executive Producer
My original plan was to be a guitarist in a band, but my dad said I needed a backup plan, so I told him I wanted to be a filmmaker. He was not impressed. Still, I made sure to spend more time looking at video content than I did in the classroom, and eventually I managed to skip town. I packed up my guitar and my camera, said adios to Tejas, and headed off to film school in L.A. I talked my way into a job at a major talent agency, working with below-the-line talent, before stepping into production. I worked on a few films, assisted the line producer and soaked up the world of physical production. The next step, obviously, was to go back to school. I returned to my alma mater as the Director of Video Production for USC Athletics. I’ve been writing, directing and shooting all things USC, witnessing the highs and the lows through my lens and making them look far better in the editing bay. I still play guitar.
